Biography

Lillian Koziol, E-R.Y.T. is a dedicated teacher and an avid student. She began to take yoga classes in 1998 with Myrna McCoy, well into "mid-life". Never having been a dancer or particularly athletic, "I found a home for my body and my mind. I began a new relationship with both". Her sciatic pain disappeared, her chronic bronchitis improved after a 30 year cigarette habit, and her anxiety attacks became a thing of the past.

Her entire life took a new direction. She enrolled in Yogi Hari’s Sampoorna Yoga teacher training. This satisfied the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher requirements at the 200 hour level. She started teaching immediately and hasn't looked back since!

In June, 2004, she completed Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with David Swenson. She completed Anatomy Teacher Training with Tias Little in 2005. She has attended workshops with Samantha Beers, Dana Rae Para, David Williams, Danny Paradise and Kino MacGregor. She has received Reiki training from April Colon, Reiki Master with whom she earned her First and Second Degree Attunements.

Working at the YMCA has brought her in touch with the fitness side of life. She earned her Group Fitness and Personal Training Certifications from AFAA in 2006. She is also certified in Silver Sneakers I and II and Water Fitness.
She teaches Yoga at two campuses of Florida Atlantic University as well as Fitness21 and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon. She has corporate customers and has taught children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, and children at the Kids in Distress shelter in Wilton Manors, Fl, ages 2-14.

Lillian is also involved with Toastmasters International. Wanting to become a better speaker, she completed her Competent Toastmaster requirement and started to give back to the organization by serving as Sergeant at Arms, Vice President of Education and President. She had 7 clubs under her guidance in her role of Governor of Area 27 and was elected to the next level, Division E Governor of District 47. In that capacity, she led an organization of 35 clubs with over 700 members where she ran Officer Trainings and Speech Contests.

She was named Toastmaster International “Division Governor of the Year” for the State of Florida, 2007-2008.
Lillian has been able to combine the disciplines of Yoga and the art of Public Speaking in her successful Yoga Lecture Series.
